Ras Al Khaimah Academy (RAKA) is the latest educational establishment to announce a reduction in fees for the third term.
The Academy has said that it will be offering a 20 percent discount to parents.
Additionally, RAKA revealed it will be refunding all non-academic third-term fees, such as transportation and canteen charges.
“We are pleased to be announcing the 20 percent discount on third-term fees today,” Steven Geraghty, the executive principle of RAK Academy, said. “We understand and appreciate that some families are facing financial issues stemming from the necessary restrictions that were implemented to ensure public health and safety.
“We are here for our students and their parents, and we are confident our collective RAKA family will emerge stronger once the current crisis subsides.”
Parents can choose to defer the discount and the refund of the non-academic fees to term 1, 2020.
Schools and universities across the UAE were closed in March as a preventive measure to limit possible transmission of coronavirus, where regular lessons continue to be conducted via remote learning rather than in a physical classroom.
As a result, a number of schools have announced a range of discounts for the third term.
