Kuwait has reported 151 new confirmed cases of coronavirus, bringing the country’s total to 2,399, according to the state-run KUNA news agency.
Health Ministry spokesman Dr. Abdullah Al-Sanad said that one death was also reported, bringing the country’s total death toll to 14.
The most recent death was identified as a Kuwaiti citizen in his early 40s who was receiving treatment in a local intensive care unit.
Dr. Al Sanad added that 55 patients remain in intensive care, 22 of whom are in critical condition.
Globally, there have been over 2.65 million confirmed cases of Covid-19, including 185,166 deaths.
Nearly 730,000 people have recovered from the virus.
