Description Summary : The 3D Printer Technician (PT) will be responsible for the operation and maintenance of large production print farms consisting of FDM and Resin printers, ensuring the quality and efficiency of the printing process.
They must possess the ability to interact with staff (at all levels) in a fast-paced environment, sometimes under pressure, remaining pleasant, flexible, proactive, resourceful and efficient, with a high level of professionalism and confidentiality. Expert level written and verbal communication skills, strong decision-making ability and attention to detail are equally important, and they must work independently with little or no supervision.

Responsibilities - Promote the mission and standards of Answers in Genesis.
- Create a SERVE culture environment in all work done.

- Prioritize personal integrity in all interactions and assignments.
- Operate, monitor and maintain 3D printers to ensure smooth and efficient operation. This includes setting up print jobs, loading materials, and performing routine maintenance on over 140 3D printers.
- Conduct regular quality checks on printed parts to ensure they meet specifications and quality standards. Troubleshoot and resolve any issues related to print quality or machine performance. Maintain accurate logs on printer issues and repairs.
- Perform routine maintenance tasks on 3D printers, such as cleaning, lubricating and calibrating equipment. Troubleshoot mechanical or technical issues and coordinate repairs when necessary.
- Organize and catalogue produced parts.
- Keep workspace clean and organized.
- Work in a safety focused manner following OSHA guidelines and use of proper PPE.
- All other duties and responsibilities as assigned by management.
Qualifications REQUIREMENTS - Able to stay calm and work well under pressure, determine priorities and produce results.
- Work creatively with others with the ability to give and take from others' experience.
- Manage the operation of a variety of machines which execute project needs based on digital files.
- Have expertise with SLA/FDM printers.
- Oversee the logistics of machine operations to ensure project needs are completed on schedule and under budget.
- Ensure machinery is maintained properly ensuring routine maintenance is performed and the work area is kept clean and organized.
- Able to work swing or second shift hours when needed.
- Teachable and able to give and take from others' experience.
- Able to multitask.
- Have a strong desire with personal commitment to grow the outreach of Answers in Genesis.
- Work as a team member with the ministry's objective.
- Able to handle and manipulate small 3D parts and objects.
- Able to lift and move heavy objects up to 50 pounds.
Education & Experience - Minimum 3 year experience with SLA/FDM or resin printers.
- Experience with Siocast injection molding and laser cutters is a plus.
- NC coding experience is a plus.
- OSHA safety training a plus.
