FULL-TIME ART TEACHER

Position Description:

Churchill Center & School is looking for a motivated, energetic, child-centered individual with strong verbal and written communication skills and effective classroom management to teach daily art classes.

Required and Preferred Skills:

Bachelor's or Master’s Degree in Art, Education, or a related field

Responsibilities:

• Support Churchill’s mission and vision
• Teach small group art classes in an art studio setting that allows for individualized attention
• Participate in student staffings, team meetings, and student meetings
• Complete student quarterly reports and goals and other student information 
• Collaborate with colleagues to provide each student with a child-centered program
• Participate in frequent professional development
• Contribute positively to the Churchill community
• Work collaboratively with the Drama department
• Assist in the execution of Drama Department's "Bulldog Bonanza" and "Bulldogs on Broadway"
• Periodically set up student art displays throughout the year 
• Organize an end-of-the-year art show and end-of-summer art show
• Teach Summer School art classes
