Role:

Assist the Community Manager in the management of the day-to-day operations of the community to achieve the highest level of performance and professionalism.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of two years’ experience in the property management industry with a preference to multifamily experience.
  • Spanish speaking candidates are preferred.
  • High school education or better is required.
  • Basic accounting skills to include but not limited to commissions, percentages, and discount calculations.
  • Organizational, excellent communication skills, high attention to detail and with proficient computer skills.
  • Must be able to pass a comprehensive background check, drug and alcohol screen, and have a valid Driver’s License with no restrictions.

Skills Required

  • Management Software Experience required
  • Use of onsite technology required
  • Entrata Experience preferred
  • Technology Troubleshooting preferred

Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Community Manager with the overall operations including maintenance, capital improvements, lease administration, budgeting, forecasting, reporting, collections, evictions, vacancy anticipation, marketing, lease renewals, service contracts, expense control, audits, etc.
  • Assist the Community Manager with providing superior customer service and communication to our residents and prospects to enhance customer satisfaction and increase renewals, revenue, reputation, and profitability
  • Complete lease/renewal paperwork to ensure completion of company standards
  • Track and evaluate advertising and all client traffic
  • Assist the Community Manager with the day-to-day operations of entire on-site team, ensuring that all BKR Real Estate Management policies and procedures are being followed
  • Maintain effective on-site staff through interviewing, hiring, and coaching team as necessary
  • Maintain residents' files in accordance with company's standards
  • Maintain a positive living environment for community residents through prompt conflict resolution and consistent follow-up
  • Manage and maintain all aspects of overall community budget and finances
  • Work with leasing staff to ensure that leasing/marketing goals are being met
  • Determine leasing opportunities of staff and work on goal setting – improving the performance of each staff member

Physical Requirements: Job is intermittently sedentary but requires mobility (i.e., climb stairs) to tour, show, and inspect apartments on a daily basis

  • Will use some repetitive motion of hand-wrist in using computer and writing
  • Works in a typical on site community office setting with daily exposure to outdoor environment (i.e., heat, cold, damp, rain, etc.) when touring community
  • Hazards can be minimized with proper lifting techniques, SDS, general safety training, and wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE)
  • Must handle stressful, urgent, novel and diverse work situations on a daily basis
  • Emotional stability and personal maturity are important attributes in this position
  • Will be called upon to work long hours and odd schedules (including weekends)
  • Position requires periodic travel by automobile to handle work-related activities
  • Attendance and punctuality is essential for success in this position
