Position Title: Cafe Server
Location: The Racquet Lounge in Southampton, NY

Job Type: Part time or Full time
Seasonal Dates: June 15th –September 2nd.
Compensation: $30/hour
Cafe Hours: 8am-4pm, Mon-Sun.

Please Note before applying: We are based in Southampton, NY. Applicants must live locally. The commute from the city is 4 hour drive each way. We do not provide housing.

About the Role

The Racquet lounge is looking for a friendly, motivated, and energetic Cafe Server to join our team for the summer.

As a Server, you'll be the face of our outdoor cafe, delivering exceptional customer service to our members while ensuring that they have a great experience. Whether you're taking orders, serving food and drinks, or keeping the cafe tidy, your role will be crucial in creating a welcoming and enjoyable atmosphere for our customers.

Key Responsibilities

• Greet and interact with members in a friendly and professional manner.
• Take food and drink orders and communicate them accurately to the kitchen team.
• Serve food and beverages promptly, ensuring quality and presentation.
• Handle payments through our POS system, and make sure to follow all safety and hygiene standards.
• Keep the cafe and kitchen clean and organized, including tables, chairs, and dining areas.
• Work efficiently as part of a team to meet member’s needs.
• Maintain a positive, can-do attitude when in a fast-paced environment.
• Keep track of inventory and communicate needs to the chef.
• Wash dishes and assist in maintaining cleanliness in the kitchen and dishwashing area.

Qualifications

• Prior café or restaurant experience is a plus, but not required.
• High school senior, college student, or recent grad.
• Willingness to learn and a positive attitude are essential.
• Must be reliable and punctual.
• Ability to multitask and stay calm under pressure.
• A friendly, outgoing personality with a love for helping people.
• Must be available to work weekends and holidays during the summer.
• A team player who is eager to step in and help with anything, even outside of defined duties.
• Bonus: Passion for tennis, pickleball, or being part of an active community
