Job Title: Chef / Cook Job Description: We are seeking a passionate and skilled person to join our kitchen team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a culinary professional dedicated to delivering exceptional dining experiences, including managing our evening dormitory meal service. You will be responsible for assisting in menu preparation, maintaining kitchen operations, and upholding the highest standards of food quality and safety.   • Prepare and cook meals to meet quality and safety standards.
  • Ensure food ingredients are stored and handled properly.
  • Manage food preparation processes for specific kitchen stations.
  • Assist in the development and planning of menus, including determining portion sizes and ingredient lists.
  • Maintain kitchen equipment and work with Head Chef to manage food inventory and procurement.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience as a Cook / Chef with expertise in multiple cooking methods (grilling, baking, boiling, etc.).
  • Demonstrated ability to master and innovate within a diverse range of global cuisines.
  • Strong teamwork skills and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and procedures.
  • Familiarity with industry’s best practices.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
Salary: $17-18 per hour, based on experience Employment Type: Full-time, 40 hours per week Benefits: Health, dental, life, and vision insurance; paid time off; tuition remission; generous holiday vacations; pension plan
