Cyber Security Analyst to join their team!
We are seeking a skilled Cyber Security Analyst to join our dynamic team. As a Mid-Level Cyber Security Analyst, you will play a critical role in safeguarding our organization's information assets by participating in incident response activities, collaborating with other teams to implement security solutions, and contributing to the overall security architecture. Responsibilities: - Lead and participate in incident response activities, including investigating security incidents, documenting findings, and recommending remediation actions.
- Investigate, document, and report on information security (InfoSec) issues and emerging trends.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement and maintain security solutions.
- Participate in the planning, design, and implementation of enterprise security architecture.
- Create and maintain enterprise security documents (policies, standards, baselines, guidelines, and procedures).
- Contribute to the planning and design of risk management, business continuity, and disaster recovery plans.
- Ensure up-to-date baselines are maintained for the secure configuration and operation of all in-place devices, such as security tools, workstations, servers, and network devices.
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on computer systems, networks, and applications.
- Evaluate and remediate user-reported malicious emails.
- Partner with third-party SOC, cybersecurity insurance vendors, and internal resources during incident response tasks.
- Conduct risk assessments to identify potential security weaknesses and recommend appropriate controls.
- Deploy and manage security tools, intrusion detection systems, and Endpoint Detection & Response (EDR) systems.
- Conduct security awareness training sessions for employees to promote a culture of cybersecurity awareness.
- Review logs and reports of all in-place devices, interpret the implications of that activity, and devise plans for appropriate resolution.
- Design and execute vulnerability assessments, penetration tests, and security audits.
- Receive and investigate SOC escalated tickets.
- Oversee and configure security monitoring tools.
- Perform threat and vulnerability analysis.
Required Qualifications & Experience: - 3-5 years of experience in Cyber Security, Network Administration, Systems Administration, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Strong understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP).
- Proficiency with operating systems (Windows/Linux).
- Knowledge of NGFW, Proxies, SIEM, EDR/XDR, and IPS/IDS concepts.
- Experience with Windows Server, File Services, and Active Directory (AD).
- Familiarity with security frameworks and standards (NIST, CIS).
- Ability to handle high-pressure situations in a productive and professional manner.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Nice to Have Skills & Experience: - Knowledge of network systems administration and architecture.
- Understanding of industrial control and SCADA systems.
- Familiarity with Oil and Gas industry-specific technologies.
- Experience with Incident Response.
- Experience with Application Security.
Certifications (Plus): - CompTIA Network+
- CompTIA Security+
- CCNA
Other Information: - Hybrid (Monday-Wednesday in Office, Remote Thursday-Friday)
