Position Purpose:
As an Advanced Data Analytics Specialist, you will harness big data and data science technology to drive healthcare innovation and improve outcomes. Your expertise in data analysis, modeling, and algorithm development will support our mission of enhancing health management programs.
Key Responsibilities:
Utilize data science techniques to analyze both structured and unstructured data sets, developing targeted algorithms for business needs.
Design and develop data models to predict member outcomes and assess the future impact of key decisions.
Create and implement analysis tools to extract and analyze data, presenting results in formats suitable for business use.
Conduct exploratory data analysis from complex sources and build essential data sets to support organizational goals.
Evaluate and design experiments to monitor key metrics and identify areas for improvement.
Develop mathematical and statistical models to recognize patterns and distinguish relevant content or events.
Present research analysis and findings to stakeholders, participating in presentations and communications.
Contribute to the design of automated, operational analytics processes to scale and sustain analysis efforts.
Validate and measure health management program outcomes using tools such as SAS and R, working with provider, claims, and membership data.
Manage multiple projects and assist in training Data Analysts.
Collaborate with technical teams to gather business requirements, document processes, test solutions, and ensure successful delivery and user adoption. Communicate expectations to relevant teams.
Qualifications:
Master's degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Informatics, Econometrics, Engineering, Experimental Science, or related field with 5+ years of experience. Alternatively, a Bachelor's degree with 7+ years of quantitative analysis experience in data science.
Proficiency in data science capabilities including data mining, predictive modeling, machine learning, statistical modeling, and analysis of both structured and unstructured data.
Experience with database technologies such as Snowflake and SQL, and familiarity with tools like R, Python, and Git.
Preferred experience in Fraud, Waste, and Abuse or Risk.
Compensation:
Salary Range: $103,500.00 - $191,600.00 per year.
Actual pay will be adjusted based on skills, experience, education, and other job-related factors.
Total compensation may include additional incentives.
