Secure our Nation, Ignite your Future ManTech is seeking a motivated, career and customer-oriented GIS Data Steward to join our team in St. Louis, MO! JOB DUTIES INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO: Responsible for accuracy and consistency of geospatial data management, developing and maintaining data standards, and ensuring data is protected and compliant with office and agency regulations and standards. Performs in-depth analysis of analytic operations and knowledge management issues across organizational and intra-IC boundaries and clearly articulates key findings. Review analytic products for cogent arguments, tradecraft, industry and agency standards, and adequate support for conclusions; routinely tests analytic rigor of analytic content. Stay up to date with industry trends and emerging best practices in data management, governance, quality and stewardship. Detail-oriented, analytical, and adept at problem solving to address data-related issues and coordinate the implementation of data improvement initiatives. Maintain data governance artifacts and support audits and compliance requirements. Analyze complex data landscapes, identify data risks, and define mitigation strategies.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS: 10+ years of GIS experience with a Bachelor’s Degree in a Geographic field. Professional certification(s) in a relevant GIS field may be substituted for 6 months of experience. 5 years of experience in geospatial data management, data governance, or data stewardship roles, preferably in a complex organizational environment. Proficient in SQL and have foundational understanding of database technologies with the ability to analyze and profile data. Familiarity with data privacy regulations and their impact on data management practices. Strong understanding of data management principals, data governance frameworks, and data quality concepts. Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross functional teams and stakeholders. Excellent documentation and organizational skills Proficient in ESRI suite of tools, geodatabase technologies, and web capabilities Understanding of geospatial data metadata, standards, and implementation
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: ESRI Model Builder and/or Python/ArcPy experience SECURITY CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS: Active TS/SCI with ability to obtain and maintain a Polygraph
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50%. Must be able to communicate, converse, and exchange information with peers and senior personnel.
