Position Summary:
The Advanced Analytics Director will be responsible for overseeing the organization’s data analytics strategy, ensuring the effective use of data to support business objectives. This role requires a strategic thinker with strong leadership skills and a deep understanding of data analytics, business intelligence, and data science.
The Advanced Analytics Director will work with other IT and business leaders to ensure planning, coordination, direction, and design of analytics activities within the IT department, as well as providing direction and support for IT analytic solutions that enhance business operations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement a comprehensive analytics strategy aligned with the company’s business goals.
- Utilize expertise in data processing to optimize analytics processes and tools.
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of data analyst, data science, and business intelligence professionals.
- Work closely with senior leadership, IT, and business units to understand and meet their data and analytics needs.
- Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of analytics initiatives.
- Stay abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies to drive innovation in data analytics.
- Ensure compliance with data governance policies, regulatory requirements, and best practices.
- Accountable for directing specified areas of work within analytics in order to achieve business goals and targeted financial and quality results.
- Deliver on directed outcomes that have a moderate to significant impact on the organization's short-term and/or long-term results, specific customers and/or stakeholders.
- Ensure process and structural fit with key stakeholders. Develop effective working relationships with stakeholders to achieve targeted goals and/or solutions.
- Develop short- and long-range strategies, plans and actionable goals.
- Share complex information related to areas of expertise.
- Interact with senior management to keep abreast of objectives.
- Interact with direct reports and peers in management / customers / vendors to interpret information and improve cross-functional processes and programs.
- Develop and mentor staff through on-boarding, open communication, ongoing training and development opportunities and performance management processes; build and maintain employee morale and motivation; ensure the team is appropriately staffed with required competencies.
- Influence, direct, and collaborate with business leaders, subject matter experts, and individual contributors at all levels within the organization.
Required Education/Skills/Experience:
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Bachelor’s degree in quantitative or technical field; Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics or Operations Research, or equivalent relevant experience.
- At least 8 years of experience in analytics.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in people leadership.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate a team, manage multiple projects, and deliver results.
- Experience in data science is preferred.
- Proficiency in data analysis tools, SQL, and data visualization software. Experience with Python or R programming languages preferred.
- Knowledge of businesses with complex data, services, and distribution models.
- Must have proven technical leadership skills, team-orientation, and a proactive and optimistic management style with the ability to lead high-talent, high-tech teams in local and remote locations.
- Possesses exceptional business acumen and proven analytical mindset. Driven to be curious and learn how our business operates, makes money, and the value of a strong analytics strategy aligned to the business needs.
- Ability to problem solve, think strategically and develop long-term plans to achieve business objectives.
- Excellent analytical, strategic planning and execution skills that deliver high quality results.
- Strong interpersonal and written communication skills.

This role allows for a hybrid work schedule with 3 days a week in office at headquarters location in West Bend, Wisconsin.
