Tasks & Responsibilities

• MUST have Site work or excavating estimating experience
• Prepare takeoffs/bids/estimates based on proposal documentation with detailed pricing in a timely fashion
• Provide alternate solutions and pricing to customers
• Review, interpret, and analyze project documentation: contracts, spec sheets, blueprints
• Work with vendors and suppliers on pricing and job specs
• Attend pre-bid meetings and/or perform pre-bid job site visits
• Manage project from start to finish
• Ensure schedule stays on track
• Maintain a positive working relationship between all co-workers and employees of subcontractors, inspectors and vendors
• Work in a productive and efficient manner while maintaining the highest level of quality work.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of experience as a field or project engineer or construction estimator
• Background in Construction Management, Civil Engineering and/or Mathematics
• Must be able to read, interpret business documents, technical specifications/procedures, and government regulations.
• Must be self-motivated, organized and have strong written and oral communication skills, high attention to detail and meet critical deadlines.
• Must be friendly, reliable and work as a team.
• Knowledge in the following software applications is a plus: MS Office, HCSS Heavy Bid
• Must be able to speak, read and write in English.
• Must have a valid driver’s license issued within the United States and clear of multiple and/or major violations.
• Must be able to pass a pre-employment physical, drug test and motor vehicle drivers abstract.
• In compliance with federal law, must be able to verify identity and eligibility to work in the United States and to complete the required employment eligibility verification document forms upon hire.
