Under direction of the Fleet Lot Supervisor, assists with ensuring that all Company Fleet (vehicles, trucks & equipment) are properly cleaned, fueled, fluid levels checked, and other maintenance tasks such as checking tire pressure, wheel alignment, etc. and any required adjustments are made.


Compensation:


$17.23/hour (non-exempt)


This is a Union position with 1 opening.


Reporting Relationship:


Reports to: Fleet Lot Coordinator, Fleet Lot Supervisor, and Fleet Manager

Responsibilities

Essential Duties

  • Cleans and washes the interior and exterior of all Company vehicles.
  • Completes all maintenance tasks such as checking fuel levels, tire pressure, wheel alignment, etc.
  • Ensures that vehicle is fueled properly.
  • Maintains records on maintenance activity performed on vehicles.
  • Under direction, assigns vehicles and issues keys.
  • Reports any discrepancies to Supervisor.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Qualification/Requirements:

  • Knowledge in basic vehicle maintenance, preferred.
  • Six months to one year experience in auto detailing, preferred.
  • Requires relating to people in a friendly and professional manner.
  • Requires working to the established procedures and maintaining reliable work attendance.
  • Requires good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Requires the ability to follow oral and written instructions.
  • Able to think and make effective decisions quickly.
  • Ability to create effective working relationships with employees.
  • Must be able to maintain a positive attitude and work under pressure.

Required Work Cards/Certifications:

  • Valid Hawaii Driver's License and successful review of Motor Vehicle Record

Physical Requirements:



  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, talk, and hear.
  • The employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
  • The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distant vision, and color vision.
  • The employee is required to operate objects, tools, or controls
