Lepe Cellars is seeking a hard-working, motivated, team-member to assist in all aspects of winemaking, from grape to bottle. Since we are a small artisanal winery (about 2,000 cases/year), there will be opportunity to gain experience operating all equipment such as the press, destemmer, pumps, forklift, and so much more. You will work closely with the winemaker who will train you directly on all equipment operations. This can be either a full-time or part-time position and will run from early September to early November.

Responsibilities:

Assist with fruit processing, sorting, and pressing
Assist with bottling
Help manage fermentations and complete various cellar tasks
Cleaning barrels, tanks, bins, press, and general winery cleaning
Lab analysis of grapes, juice and wine
Maintain a clean, organized winery
Operate forklift to move bins, barrels, pallets and loading fruit into press and destemmer

Qualifications:

Passion for wine and eagerness to learn
Ability to work in a dynamic team environment
Excellent communication and teamwork
Ability to lift 40+ pounds
