Industrial Pipefitter Foreman
Position Overview The Industrial Pipefitter Foreman will lead and supervise a skilled team of pipefitters in the installation, maintenance, and repair of piping systems in industrial settings. This role is essential for ensuring projects are completed safely, on time, and to the highest standards of quality.
Key Responsibilities - Supervise and coordinate the activities of pipefitters and apprentices on-site.
- Plan and layout piping systems according to specifications and project plans.
- Oversee the installation and repair of a variety of piping systems, ensuring compliance with local and national codes.
- Conduct regular inspections of work performed to ensure it meets quality standards and safety regulations.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose leaks and other piping issues, providing effective solutions.
- Collaborate with other trades and project managers to ensure smooth operation of MEP systems.
- Maintain accurate records of materials used, labor hours, and project progress.
- Train and mentor junior pipefitters and apprentices on best practices and safety procedures.
Qualifications - Proven experience as a pipefitter or in a similar role, with at least 5 years in an industrial setting.
- Previous experience in a supervisory or foreman position is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of plumbing and piping systems, including installation and repair techniques.
- Familiarity with MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing) systems and their installation requirements.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong leadership and communication skills to manage a team effectively.
- Valid plumbing or pipefitting license and certifications are a plus.
