Job Description

Job Title: Information Security Analyst (US Citizen Only)

Location: Remote

We are currently seeking candidates who meet the following qualifications

Responsibilities:

  • Monitor networks and systems for security breaches or intrusions using security tools and technologies.
  • Conduct vulnerability assessments, penetration tests, and security audits.
  • Investigate and respond to security incidents, analyzing root causes and implementing remediation.
  • Develop and implement security policies, protocols, and procedures to protect company assets.
  • Perform regular risk assessments to identify security gaps and recommend improvements.
  • Collaborate with IT teams to ensure secure configurations of networks, systems, and applications.
  • Manage and maintain security tools such as firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS), and antivirus software.
  • Implement and oversee security controls for data protection, including encryption and access management.
  • Conduct security training and awareness programs for employees.
  • Stay updated on the latest cybersecurity threats, trends, and best practices.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
  • Experience in an Information Security or cybersecurity role.
  • Strong understanding of network and application security, firewalls, and encryption protocols.
  • Experience with security tools such as SIEM (Security Information and Event Management), IDS/IPS, firewalls, and vulnerability scanners.
  • Knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001, CIS Controls).
  • Experience with incident response, risk assessments, and security audits.
  • Experience in regulatory requirements (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA) and data protection best practices.
  • Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Python, PowerShell) for automation.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure during security incidents.

Preferred Skills:

  • Security certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CEH, or CompTIA Security+.
  • Experience with cloud security in AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
  • Knowledge of SIEM platforms like Splunk or ArcSight.
  • Experience in threat intelligence and ethical hacking tools.
  • Federal Experience is a plus.
  • Required Security clearance.
