Lead Accessibility Tester Description

We are searching for an experienced Lead Accessibility Tester professional to join our team. As a Lead Accessibility Tester, you will play a critical role in leading and conducting accessibility evaluations and ensuring adherence to accessibility standards. Your expertise will be instrumental in creating a more inclusive digital environment. You will work on evaluating and enhancing the accessibility of digital products, collaborating closely with the UX design team and utilizing tools such as Figma and Azure DevOps.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and conduct accessibility evaluations to identify and address accessibility barriers in digital products
  • Ensure compliance with accessibility standards and guidelines, including WCAG, throughout the development process
  • Collaborate with the UX design team to integrate accessibility considerations into the design and development process
  • Utilize tools such as Figma and Azure DevOps to manage and track accessibility evaluation tasks
  • Create and maintain accessibility documentation and reports to communicate findings and recommendations
  • Provide guidance and training to cross-functional teams on accessibility best practices and standards
  • Analyze and interpret accessibility requirements, translating them into actionable tasks for implementation
  • Collaborate closely with stakeholders to advocate for accessibility and drive continuous improvement initiatives
  • Stay updated with accessibility best practices and industry trends, incorporating relevant updates into the evaluation process
  • Foster a culture of accessibility awareness and inclusivity within the organization

Requirements

  • Proven experience in conducting accessibility evaluations and implementing accessibility standards
  • Comprehensive knowledge of accessibility fundamentals and experience in utilizing tools such as JAWS and NVDA
  • Familiarity with Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) and their practical application in digital products
  • Proficiency in utilizing Azure DevOps for managing accessibility evaluation tasks and tracking progress
  • Experience in collaborating with UX design teams to integrate accessibility requirements into the design process
  • Solid understanding of UX design principles and their relationship to accessibility
  • Experience in creating and maintaining accessibility documentation and reports
  • Experience in providing guidance and training to cross-functional teams on accessibility best practices
  • Ability to analyze and interpret accessibility requirements and translate them into actionable tasks
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders
