Lead Data Scientist Description

We're inviting applications for the role of Lead Data Scientist from candidates with substantial expertise in Python and SQL. This role is a remote position.

The Lead Data Scientist will be instrumental in pinpointing business issues, conducting data analysis, constructing and verifying models, and conveying results in an easy-to-understand format. The role will significantly influence the adoption of data-centric decision making in our organization.

Responsibilities

• Identification and resolution of business issues through data analysis and modeling
• Effectual utilization of Python and SQL for data interpretation and analysis
• Construction and verification of analytical models for diverse applications, including Deep Learning, AI, and Time Series Forecasting
• Clear and informative presentation of findings and insights
• Collaboration with diverse teams to promote data-centric decision making
• Staying abreast with the most recent developments in Data Science and ML modeling
• Contribution to the productionalization of Data Science solutions
• Effective communication of insights through data visualization techniques
• Application of NLP and text mining techniques for insightful analysis
• Leadership and mentorship for budding data science professionals

Requirements

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in Python and SQL for data interpretation and modeling
• At least 1 year of relevant leadership experience
• Comprehensive experience in data-centric applied mathematics, including statistical analysis and machine learning
• Proficient modeling and Algorithm approach, such as Boosting Algorithms
• Familiarity with data analysis tools and libraries such as NumPy, SciPy, Scikit-learn, pandas, and matplotlib
• Strong experience in ML Modeling for Deep Learning, AI, and Time Series Forecasting
• Proficiency in at least one major cloud provider (AWS, GCP, or Azure)
• A good understanding of productionalizing Data Science solutions
• Strong data visualization skills
• Some experience in NLP and text mining
• An aptitude for problem-solving
• Strong communication and presentation skills, with fluency in English

Nice to have

• Some experience in MLOps solutions such as SageMaker, Vertex, or Azure ML
• Familiarity with Big Data solutions, especially Spark/PySpark
