Licensed Mental Health Professional – Youth ACT

💰 Salary: $70,000 – $74,000
Are you a licensed mental health professional passionate about working with youth and families in the community? Join a multidisciplinary team dedicated to supporting youth ages 10-21 at risk of psychiatric hospitalization, out-of-home placement, or juvenile justice involvement.
About the Program:
The Youth ACT program provides community-based, personalized care to help youth achieve stability and growth. Services include therapy, case management, psychiatric services, and skill-building to strengthen both the youth and their families.
Position Overview:
The Licensed Mental Health Professional will deliver individual and family therapy, crisis intervention, and psychoeducation in community settings, such as homes and schools. This role involves collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive, trauma-informed, and culturally responsive care.
Key Responsibilities:
✔ Conduct mental health assessments & create individualized treatment plans
✔ Provide therapy services (individual, family, and group) using evidence-based practices
✔ Deliver crisis intervention to prevent hospitalization or out-of-home placements
✔ Work with schools, child welfare, medical providers, and juvenile justice agencies to coordinate care
✔ Help youth build coping skills, emotional regulation, and social functioning
✔ Provide psychoeducation to families to strengthen support systems
✔ Maintain clinical documentation and participate in audits, training, and team meetings
✔ Deliver services in community-based settings to foster trust and engagement
Qualifications:
✅ Master’s degree in social work or related field (must be licensable)
✅ NYS Mental Health License Preferred – LMSW, LCSW, LMHC, LMFT, LCAT
✅ Experience working with youth and families
✅ Valid Driver’s License
