Leidos QTC Health Services is currently seeking a Medical Assistant to support our clinic Traverse City, MI.
What part would you play in this role?
As a Medical Assistant, you will be responsible for performing routine and basic front and back-office duties. These duties will include answering phones, data entry, assisting in the examination process of patients under the direction of a physician, interviewing patients, measuring vital signs and recording information on patients' charts, drawing and collecting blood samples and/or urine samples from patients, preparing specimens for laboratory analysis, and conducting a variety of diagnostic tests. In this rewarding role, you will:
- Perform routine and basic front and back-office duties, to include phones, data entry.
- Assist in the examination process of patients under the direction of a physician.
- Interview patients.
- Measure vital signs.
- Record information on patients' charts.
- Draw and collect blood samples and/or urine samples from patients.
- Prepare specimens for laboratory analysis.
- Conduct a variety of diagnostic tests.
Pay and Benefits:
Hourly Rates are based on experience and education. Plus potential quarterly bonuses.
- Level I (0-1 years of exp. plus MA diploma) = $17.20 - $17.79 per hour
- Level II (1-3 years of exp. plus MA diploma) = $18.6 - $19.66 per hour
- Level III (3-5 years of exp. plus MA diploma) = $20.23 - $21.30 per hour
- Level IV (5+ years of exp. plus MA certification) = $22.51 - $23.70 per hour

Typical Day:
- Initial training is 3 weeks long.
- Position is located ONSITE at our clinic in Traverse City, MI (address: 4310 Munson Ave Ste A, Traverse City, MI 49686).
- Shifts are from Mon - Fri 7:30 am - 5 pm ET; Saturdays as needed from 8 am - 5 pm ET.
You must have:
- Graduate of accredited vocational MA program/MA Diploma OR Military Equivalent (Medic/Hospital Corpsman)0-5 years of medical assistant experience.
- High School Diploma/GED. Additional years of experience may be considered in lieu of diploma.
- National Medical Assistant certification required for Level 4.
- Experience in Occupational Medicine clinic, General Medical, Internal Medicine work environment preferred.
- Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers (BLS) certification required within 30 days of starting.
- Technology-driven medical data entry system experience or related computer data entry.
- Ability to pass a medical clearance consisting of passing an N95 respirator fit test, properly wearing organizational standard respiratory protective equipment as required, passing a Tuberculosis/TB test, and receiving a Hepatitis A/B vaccine series or passing a Hepatitis A/B Titer test and other medical clearances/vaccinations as required.
