Position Summary: As a Paraprofessional/PCA in a school setting, you provide essential support to teachers and students, assisting with instructional activities, classroom management, and student supervision. Working under the direction of certified teachers and administrators, you play a crucial role in creating a positive and inclusive learning environment that fosters student success.
Responsibilities: - Working with students that have special needs and/or challenging behaviors
- Supporting instruction to students
- Monitoring and managing student behaviors
- Modeling and encouraging positive social skills
- Supporting students through classroom transitions
Qualifications: - A high school diploma or equivalent is required
- Associate or bachelor’s degree in education or a related field is preferred
- Experience working with children or adolescents in an educational or childcare setting
