Parking Enforcement / Security Guard
Full-Time
$14.21/Hour

Duties:

• Provide security of the campus buildings and grounds
• Enforce the parking regulations of Montana Tech.
• Allow access to campus buildings according to established regulations.
• Respond to build alarms and open doors as directed by first responders.
• Provide assistance to students, faculty, staff and visitors to campus.
• Create incident and crime reports, as needed.
• Report safety and security concerns to Security Supervisor.
• Work various shifts, weekends, holidays.

Night Shift position working four nights a weekend from 10:00 pm to 8:00 am, Work days TBD.

Required Qualifications:

• Be able to pass back ground checks and investigations.
• Valid Montana Driver’s license with acceptable driving record.
• High School Diploma or equivalent

Successful candidate must complete the following within 60 days unless otherwise specified:

 

• Be Certified in First Aid, CPR, and emergencies procedures training.
• Licensed Security Guard through the Montana Department of Labor & Industry, Board of Private Security Patrolmen and Investigators.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Security Experience
• Montana Department of Labor and Industries Security Guard License.

Physical Demands
Must be able to safely lift up to 70 pounds, physical ability to walk a minimum of eight miles per shift in all type of weather or uneven terrain; continuously stand and bend through the eight hour shift; normal hearing and corrected to 20/20 vision; able to effectively deal with confrontational situations in stressful situations.
