Job title: Senior Patient Registrar

Job Location: Jackson Heights, NY 11372

Pay: $25/hr to $28/hr

Shift: 8:30 am to 4:30 pm

Contract: 12 weeks (Possible Extension)

Duties:

• Verify patient insurance coverage and benefits, process authorizations, and address any issues related to billing or coverage.
• Overseeing the registration process for new and returning patients, ensuring accurate entry of personal, insurance, and medical information.
• Training and supervising junior registrars or administrative staff. Offering guidance and support to ensure efficient and accurate patient registration processes.
• Must have either EPIC experience on resume OR be bilingual in Spanish.
• Surgical authorizations are REQUIRED.
• Generating and analyzing reports related to patient registrations, appointment statistics, and other relevant metrics. Using this data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
• Ensuring that patient information is handled with the utmost confidentiality and security, adhering to all privacy laws and institutional policies.
• Working closely with healthcare providers, administrative staff, and other departments to ensure seamless patient care and efficient operational workflows.
• Experiences for surgical procedures include scheduling surgical procedures, obtaining auth, reviewing prep with patients, etc.
