In this role, you will provide essential support to individuals with daily living activities, promoting their independence and well-being. The current client, based in Herndon, needs ongoing support and companionship. • Provide assistance with meal preparation and feeding
• Walking and feeding small dog
• Drive and accompany clients on errands and appointments (i.e. grocery store, doctor's appointments, etc)
• Light housekeeping duties, including laundry and light cleaning
• Provide companionship and emotional support
• Maintain timely accurate records and documentation
• Provide quality care and support to clients
• Communicate effectively with client, their family, and other healthcare professionals

Qualifications

• PCA certification
• At least one year of experience working in home care with seniors
• Basic Life Support Certification
• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds
• English proficiency with strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Current Driver's License and a reliable means of transportation
• Must be able to pass a criminal background
• Patience, empathy, and a positive attitude

Essential Functions

• Physical ability to perform tasks such as lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Working Conditions

• Primarily in-home settings
• Varying shifts may include weekends and holidays
