One of the acute care hospitals in Maryland is actively seeking a seasoned PICC Nurse to join their Vascular Access Team (VAT).
The PICC Registered Nurse will work for an acute care hospital that offers care to patients throughout Maryland and Washington DC. This is a reputable organization known for their employee satisfaction, commitment to the community, and ongoing advancements offered throughout the facility.
Having PICCs and US Guided IV certifications will earn quick interviews. The PICC Nurse will hold their active RN license, and ideally have previous experience working as a Vascular Access Nurse, IV Therapy Nurse, PICC Nurse, or Infusion Nurse.
Responsibilities of the PICC RN include assessing patients for appropriate vascular access device(s) and working closely with the patient care team to provide care based on the access status, diagnosis, length of IV therapy. The PICC Registered Nurse will have experience placing peripherally inserted central catheters, midlines, and ultrasound guided IV's. The PICC Nurse is able to identify and recommend alternative means of access, and is able to troubleshoot complications with vascular access devices.
