Compensation:
Starting Salary: $102,000 to $112,000 annually
Annual Stipend: $5,000 upon successful completion of Initial Check Pilot Training
Sign-on Bonus: $15,000 after successful completion of training and checkride (No training contract required!)
Retention Bonus: $40,000 (paid after a 6-month waiting period, part of a 3-year program)
Relocation Assistance: $5,000 for relocation to Denton
Work Schedule: Typically 14 to 16 days per month, as determined by the company

Job Summary:
As a Fixed Wing Pilot Instructor specializing in the Pilatus PC-12 aircraft, you will play a vital role in training new and existing pilots. Your responsibilities will include conducting classroom instruction, simulator sessions, and in-flight training for both initial and recurrent courses. You'll ensure that new hire pilots are well-prepared and equipped with the knowledge needed to conduct air medical flight operations safely and efficiently. Your instruction will adhere to the Operations Manual, Operations Specifications, Standard Operating Procedures manual, Federal Aviation Regulations (FARs), and other company policies.
In addition, you will confirm the completion of ground training and the proper documentation of all necessary records. Once experienced in our operations, you will also conduct checkrides in accordance with FAR 135.293, .297, and .299.
Qualifications:
Flight Experience: Minimum of 2,500 hours total flight time, including 1,000 hours as Pilot-in-Command (PIC) in an airplane, 500 cross-country hours, and 100 night hours. Additionally, 100 hours of actual or simulated instrument time, with at least 75 hours in actual flight.
Aircraft Experience: Experience in the Pilatus PC12 is required.
Certifications: Commercial, Instrument, and Single-Engine Land ratings required. ATP certification preferred.
Medical: FAA Second Class Medical issued within the preceding 12 months.
Instructor Experience: Certified Flight Instructor (CFI) preferred. Instructing background and experience are highly valued.
Other Requirements: Valid driver's license and familiarity with Garmin avionics is a plus.
Essential Functions & Duties:
Lead and manage classroom sessions for new-hire and recurrent pilot training.
Plan and oversee classroom assignments and daily training schedules.
Conduct training activities in line with the FAA-Approved Training Manual.
Guide pilots on the proper use of company documentation, including aircraft manuals, load manifests, dispatch risk assessments, operations manuals, and aeronautical charts.
Teach the correct procedures for loading and distributing cargo, passengers, and patients, ensuring compliance with weight and balance limitations.
Instruct on pre-flight duties, including engine inspections, fluid level checks, and verifying the integrity of the airframe, control surfaces, and avionics.
Ensure pilots understand the importance of securing cargo, providing for passenger comfort, and equipping the aircraft with emergency equipment as required.
Educate on optimizing aircraft operation at favorable altitudes, considering turbulence, weather, and passenger comfort.
Serve as a simulator instructor for both initial and recurrent training sessions.
Oversee flight operations, including pre-flight inspections, equipment loading, weight & balance computations, and weather briefings.
Provide instruction on filing FAA flight plans and sharing necessary information with the Communications Center for flight following.
Foster a positive team attitude among flight crew members, medical clinicians, maintenance technicians, and communication specialists.
Stay updated on relevant aviation regulations, operational changes, and company policies.
Ensure all required flight logs, records, and maintenance forms are completed accurately and submitted promptly.
Conduct maintenance check flights and reposition aircraft between maintenance bases and operational remote bases.
Assist in the development, coordination, and distribution of pilot training materials, including classroom presentations, training manuals, and curriculum guides.
