THIS IS A COLD TEMPERATURE POSITION WORKING IN THE FREEZER / COOLER Pay: $18.00 per hour, then raised to $20 per hour after equipment certification.
JOB SUMMARY

Partner with other receiving team members to receive freezer deliveries, break down and sort pallets, stock shelves, fill bulk orders, and maintain freezer area.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Breaking down, sorting, and checking in freezer products.
• Rotating, consolidating, and layering freezer products by date. Creating space for incoming products.
• Stocking freezer products on shelves and roller racks.
• Partner with the warehouse team and take direction from supervisors to ensure efficiency.
• Safely and competently operate a forklift, all required technology, and any other materials handling equipment in the warehouse.
• Use a Forklift, chariot, or order picker to put away overstock that does not fit in pick slots.
• Will perform all tasks safely and to the best of their ability and complete tasks promptly.
• Helping in other areas of receiving once freezer work is complete.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES

• Good organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Must be able to read, write, and comprehend the English language.
• Must understand and follow warehouse practices and procedures.
• Must be able to pass a drug screen and criminal background check.
• Must be physically able to access all areas of the warehouse.
• Must be open to receiving on-the-job training by supervisory personnel.
• Must be able to report to work on time and ready to work as well as work overtime when requested.
• Must be able to work in below-zero temperatures for extended periods using proper cold-weather clothing and equipment.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 1-year experience doing similar work preferred.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

• Must be able to lift and transport a minimum of 30 lbs. consistently and up to 70 lbs. intermittently.
• Must be able to stoop, twist, bend squat, kneel, reach at, below, or above the shoulder.
• Must be able to walk and stand on concrete floors for up to 12 or more hours per day.
• Maintain performance in a fast-paced distribution environment while meeting established distribution quotas and standards.
• Tolerate cold temperatures ranging from (-) 10 degrees in the freezer to 34 in the cooler.
