Registered Nurse – Clinical Documentation Improvement Specialist
Qualifications:
- Active RN license in the state of employment.
- Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in clinical documentation improvement (CDI), case management, or utilization review.
- Familiarity with ICD-10, DRG coding, and healthcare reimbursement methodologies.
- Strong analytical and critical-thinking skills.
- Experience with electronic health records (EHR) and clinical documentation systems.
Duties:
- Review medical records to ensure accurate and complete documentation.
- Collaborate with physicians and clinical staff to improve documentation quality.
- Identify opportunities for specificity in diagnoses and treatment plans.
- Educate healthcare providers on documentation best practices.
- Work with coding teams to ensure accurate reimbursement.
- Maintain compliance with regulatory and accreditation requirements.
Pay:
- Medium weekly pay range: $2,100 - $2,600
