Job Description

Job Summary:

Our client is seeking a Revenue Accountant who will lead New Product Initiative NPI for various products that the Company launches and represent the revenue strategy team responsible for revenue recognition policies, external cloud conclusions, ASC606 policy compliance, and more. This opportunity is located in Seattle, WA, Chicago, IL, Indianapolis, IN, or Atlanta, GA.

Duties:

  • Assist in monthly SOX controls by supporting the revenue accounting team in updating various reports related to their controls
  • Comply with the Revenue Recognition Policy of the Company while leading NPI meetings
  • Guide business and other teams during NPI meetings on proper revenue treatment, price treatment, billing model, and related considerations
  • Update and approve SOX field values for products as part of NPI responsibilities
  • Develop a thorough understanding of the product and effectively explain it to internal stakeholders and the extended team within the Revenue Management Team
  • Support product-related inquiries raised by the deal team or other revenue management team members and provide necessary documents or decks to assist with responses to queries

Desired Skills/Experience:

  • 5+ years relevant work experience, preferably in the high-tech industry
  • Strong technical accounting skills with a bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
  • Excellent communication and analytical skills
  • Team player with the ability to work in a fast-paced and rapidly changing environment
  • Detail-oriented, organized, and highly disciplined in time management to ensure success in the role
  • Ability to manage day-to-day work independently without requiring follow-ups
  • Take full ownership of NPI, drive it end-to-end, and seek support in a timely manner to prevent any blockers to product launch
