The Construction Safety Manager is responsible for creating, implementing, and overseeing safety programs to ensure compliance with safety regulations on job sites. They conduct site inspections, enforce safety protocols, and provide training to minimize workplace hazards and prevent accidents. The role also involves investigating incidents, maintaining safety records, and promoting a culture of safety across all construction projects.

Duties & Responsibilities  

• Effectively communicate company safety policies and expectations to employees and subcontractors.
• Develop and maintain a company culture which supports safety as a key principle of the organization.
• Assist in overseeing and enforcing the company Safety Management Policy.
• Provide OSHA 10 hour and 30 hour Outreach Training classes as prescribed by company policies.
• Provide weekly and quarterly safety training as directed by the Director of Safety and maintain associated records.
• Inspect company work sites and branch locations to ensure safe working environments.
• Assist the Director of Safety in completing federal, state, and local injury reporting documentation (OSHA 300 logs).
• Analyze incident, accident, and injury reports to identify injury trends, and recommend changes that lead to a safer work environment.
• Develop relationships with industry partners regarding safety & risk management to help maintain effective partnerships.
• Report all work-related illnesses and injuries to the Director of Safety.

Competencies and Areas of Expertise  

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills  
• Experience in construction safety related training and professional development  
• Experience with reading and interpreting OSHA rules and regulations  

Essential Qualifications  

• OSHA 30 hour course completed/ability to complete within 30 days of hire.  
• Bachelor’s degree in a safety related field
• Experience in high volume residential construction.  
• Highly organized with the ability to work without direct daily oversight, a self-starter mindset.  
• Ability to control sensitive information regarding employees and their personal information. 
• Clean MVR and able to operate a company vehicle.  
• Proficient with Microsoft Office.  
• Previous construction/general industry safety experience preferred.  
• Ability to lift and carry at least 30 pounds  

Pay:

$70,000-$85,000
