Job Description
Genesis10 is currently seeking an Agile Scrum Master with our client in the financial industry located in Charlotte, NC, Plano, TX, and Pennington, NJ. This is a 12 + month contract position.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for developing and deploying secure multi-patented data sharing technologies between all lines of business and external entities
- Sit within the Global Banking and Markets Technology organization which provide liquidity management, payments and receipts, trade and supply chain finance, foreign exchange and commercial card services to small businesses, middle market companies, and to multinational corporations, financial institutions and governments around the world
- Responsible for optimizing the flow of stories and the value delivered by one or more Scrum teams
- Coordinate and facilitate Scrum ceremonies, managing dependencies for the team, providing visibility into team delivery plans and progress, enabling continuous improvement within the team
- Ensure the impediments are resolved quickly, the team follows their agreed-to processes, and that there is a good relationship between the Product Owner and the development team
- Act as an Agile Coach, promoting and coaching the Agile mindset and principles, empowering the team to become self-managing and fulfill their cross-functional potential
- Guide and coach one or more teams on Scrum practices, and develops their understanding of Agile principles
- Facilitate Scrum ceremonies i.e. Sprint Planning, Daily Scrum, Backlog Refinement, Sprint Demos/Reviews, and Sprint Retrospectives
- Facilitate scaled planning for the team - e.g. Pre Planning/ Preparation, PI Planning Events - and represents the team in Scrum of Scrums/ART Syncs
- Help the team define norms/agreements, like a Definition of Ready and Definition of Done, and enforces the agreements
- Ensure the team has a healthy product and Sprint backlog (in collaboration with the PO)
- Promote/facilitate communication and collaboration within the Agile team to support value delivery and Sprint commitments
- Provide visibility into the Agile teams delivery plans and progress against plan to stakeholders
Requirements: - 2 + year experience as a Scrum Master
- Experience with Agile principles of collaboration, prioritization, and team accountability
- Experience with implementation and release management activities
- Facilitate dependency management/risk management/impediment removal for the team
- Experience with implementation and release management activities
- Good analytic skills, flexibility and the ability to adapt to emerging technologies and tools
Desired skills: - Certified Agile Scrum Master (SAFe)
- 1+ year experience with JIRA
- Enable the team to become high performing through collaboration and a relentless focus on continuous improvement including cross-skilling across the team
- Measure team delivery, maturity, and performance and reviews the metrics with the team to identify improvement opportunities
