Responsibilities

Kforce has a client in Bridgeport, WV that is seeking a talented, motivated Scrum Master with experience mentoring Agile development teams in Scrum to deliver high-quality software products.Summary:This role requires coaching a development team with a varying level of experience, and a team that manages both product support and new development. The software product under development is a re-write of an existing application, as part of its initial delivery, with significant enhancements slated over the next 1-2 years to improve user experience and functionality while eliminating tech debt from other tools.Duties:
  • Scrum Master will drive clear communication and coach the development team on Scrum guidelines and best practices
  • Work with the development team and others to remove impediments
  • Facilitate Scrum ceremonies, as appropriate, and help ensure team engagement
  • Help the development team drive process improvements and innovate within the confines of Scrum
  • Ensure proper hygiene in Jira within the sprint, assisting with management of the sprint backlog, ensuring stories are being updated appropriately and meet standard requirements prior to entering into a sprint, and timely closure of stories and sprints
  • Aggregate and monitor sprint metrics, and perform analyses to identify area to improve
  • As a Scrum Master, you will assist with story point estimation and other planning activities, providing organization and guidance on best practices
  • Help the product owners with management of the product backlog, and communicating the clear product vision to the development team
  • Help build a fun, productive and educational experience for the development team, product owners and stakeholders, establishing best practices that can be replicated across the organization
Skills

  • CSM, SSM or equivalent Scrum Master certification
  • 6+ years of experience as a Scrum Master, RTE and/or Agile Coach
  • Strong understanding of Agile principles and frameworks such as Scrum and Kanban
  • Proficiency with Jira & Confluence
  • Passion for teaching/coaching, and building high-quality teams and team environments
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Highly collaborative and passionate about adherence to Scrum
  • Able to walk the line between staying within the boundaries of Scrum while experimenting with innovative ways to improve the team performance and deliver business value
  • Visa sponsorship is not available for this position
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
