Job Summary : This
Scrum Master promotes HVAC solutions through development, testing and release of cutting-edge commercial building HVAC design & simulation software. This position/individual will need to be physically located in our La Crosse, Wisconsin campus; the role is not a remote/virtual position.
Core Job Responsibilities (others may be added): - Serve as Scrum Master/Delivery Manager on one or more Agile Teams while simultaneously teaching and reinforcing best practices and Lean principles.
- Ensuring all Scrum events take place and are positive, productive and within the timebox.
- Helps the Scrum Team focus on creating high-value Increments that meet the Definition of Done.
- Demonstrate Scrum Values: 1) Commitment 2) Focus 3) Openness 4) Respect 5) Courage.
- Facilitate continuous improvement opportunities that focus on inspiring teams to be self-organized and high performing.
- Create consistent planning, visibility, reporting practices among Agile Teams.
- Mitigate impediments and ensure team success.
- Utilize team feedback and metrics (quality, delivery rate, etc.) to identify areas of opportunity and works with team to continuously improve.
- Create visibility into progress each sprint / release through use of velocity, burn down charts, committed vs. completed metrics, Jira timeline, etc.
- Proficiency in guiding productive discussions, conflict management, and fostering a collaborative team dynamic.
- Helps the Product Owner find techniques for effective Product Goal definition and Product Backlog management.
- Serves the Scrum Team, Product Owner, and ultimately the Organization.
- Foster great working relationships with your team, stakeholders and customers.
- Demonstrate flexibility to adapt to changing organizational priorities and a mindfulness of the implications of decisions.
Minimum Qualifications: - Bachelor's Degree in Business, Information Technology (or other business discipline) is required.
- Scrum Certification (CSM or PSM 1 preferred)
Key Competencies: - Proficient in Jira, Confluence and MS Office
- Excellent communication, conflict resolution, coaching, mentoring, and servant leadership skills
- Able to influence without authority, build trust at all levels, and have a keen sense of self-awareness.
- Knowledge of Kanban
- Good written, oral communication skills and interpersonal skills, express concepts & ideas with clarity.
- Work well under pressure and can resolve complex problems.
- Work in a collaborative fashion, elevates team results over individual results.
- Ability to work on multiple tasks simultaneously among changing priorities.
- Project management, time management, planning, organizational and analytical skills are required.
- Self-motivated, takes initiative, able to function effectively in independent and team-based situations.
- A high-level of professionalism is required - including timely attendance and participation in internal meetings and consistent availability during core business hours.
Annual Compensation Range is $55,000 to $95,500. Disclaimer: This salary range is based on US national averages. Actual pay could be a result of seniority/experience level, merit and geographic location where the actual work is performed.
