SOCIAL CONTENT CREATOR
Who You Are
You're a creator who instinctively thinks social before all other channels. You spend more time than you'd like to admit on social, and are on the forefront of all the latest trends. You're obsessed with creating content that people love to like, share, and engage with. You're an obsessive meme maker and unabashed TikTokker. You know how to take your knowledge of social to help give brands a voice and make an impact on social through the content you create.
You understand the power of the phone in your pocket and know how to use it to create social content any brand would be proud to post. You use it to create and edit engaging short form videos, concept social posts, and write Tweets, and post copy. You know the big social platforms inside out and are always pushing for ideas that shake up and reinvent what can be done on them.
You are self-motivated, organized, passionate, strategic, and flexible. You have the ability to communicate trends and defend your work to fellow team members, including those less familiar with current social trends. You're willing to jump in where you can to create amazing work - from photography to design to prop styling and animation.

We were founded in 2010 in Bushwick, Brooklyn and still call that colorful, creative neighborhood home. (We also call Denver home-that's where you'll find our sister office.) What You'll Do
As a Social Content Creator at Madwell, you'll be responsible for ideating and developing content for our clients. Equal parts maker and strategist. You'll work alongside the wider strategy, account, production, and creative teams to ensure we are delivering best-in-class social media content, helping to create content that stands out for our clients. While your executional focus should be on social media, you should be an integrated thinker.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Concepting and executing platform-specific content (think: TikTok, Instagram or Twitter) based on insights from past performance and the latest trends.
- Working within social platforms to bring ideas to life - could be anything from the comment section to video editing a paid social post. You'll be taking ownership of the making process from concept to execution.
- Compiling, understanding, and communicating relevant trends while bringing forward thoughts on how they could apply to our clients.
- Actively guiding the strategic social planning process, bringing forward solutions to client or team challenges.
- Manage content posting and engage with various communities on social
- Vocalizing a social-first POV in meetings, calls or presentations.
- Acting as a team player by providing thoughtful and constructive feedback, building trust and creating collaborative relationships with all of those you work with.
- Prioritizing diversity, equity, and inclusion in all aspects of our work.
Our Must-Haves:
- Uses and creates on social platforms daily.
- Strong content creation abilities, able to capture and edit a wide variety of social content.
- Comfortable and experienced in using DSLR cameras to capture high-quality content.
- Strong foundation in photography and videography techniques, including composition, lighting, and framing.
- Excellent understanding of social media platforms, including their respective strengths, nuances, success metrics, and relevant demographics.
- A self-starter, full of passion and ambition and takes initiative in bringing new social tactics to the table
- Independent yet communicative and team-oriented.
- Able to balance a strong point of view with an ability to listen, learn and adapt.
- A proven track record in demonstrating the abilities outlined within this job description.
- Passionate about the tech and digital space, intimate knowledge around brands that win in the those feeds
- Experience with Adobe Creative Suite is a plus but not required.
- Must be located within commuting distance of our Denver or Brooklyn office, and able to come into one of our offices three days a week on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday every week.
- Upholds high standards of compliance and ethics. Ensures all activities adhere to industry standards and regulations. Provides transparency in reporting and media buys.

Where You've Been
- Proven track record of creating engaging social content across social channels
- Modest experience (2-ish years) in creating branded content a plus but not required

Salary Range: $62,500 - $75,000
