Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Senior Associate Actuary to lead our in-force asset projections and analyze various scenarios. As part of the Asset Projection team, you will play a crucial role in running asset projection models and managing the resulting data. Your responsibilities will include conducting projections, performing analyses, providing valuable insights, and summarizing findings for internal stakeholders to support their business objectives. Additionally, you will collaborate with both external partners and internal teams to ensure seamless project progress and continuity. This position is vital for facilitating informed decision-making, optimizing financial performance, and aligning with our long-term vision and goals.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Create reports and supporting documents for analysis memos and presentations that clearly articulate findings, insights, and projections to stakeholders, ensuring transparency and alignment while assessing how changes in assumptions impact asset projections.
- Prepare data for use in projection models, oversee model projection jobs, and manage model outputs effectively.
- Ensure compliance with guidelines for asset projection documents and activities.
- Collaborate with external partners and internal teams to align efforts and drive successful outcomes.
- Utilize technology to generate insightful information that aids in decision-making.
- Provide guidance and informal leadership to Actuarial Technicians and ALM (Asset and Liability Management) team members.
- Oversee and provide direction on written documentation while creating operational efficiencies.
- Actively engage in continuous improvements for both processes and reporting.
Experience and Education Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field is required.
- A minimum of 4 years of experience in investment or Asset and Liability Management (ALM) is essential.
- Minimum ASA designation with progress toward FSA and MAAA preferred.
- Knowledge of life insurance is a plus.
- Strong understanding of asset classes, portfolio management, financial principles, economic trends, interest rates, inflation, investment vehicles, risk-return trade-offs, and market dynamics.
- Experience with financial projection models is preferred.

Other Requirements
- Perform additional functions, duties, and projects as assigned.
- Regular and punctual attendance is expected.
- Minimal travel required (less than 10%).
