About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled  Structural Steel Estimator  with at least five (5) years of experience in the structural steel industry. This is an office-based position that plays a critical role in generating accurate and detailed cost estimates for steel fabrication and erection projects. A strong understanding of construction practices and the steel fabrication/erection process is essential.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform computer-aided and manual takeoffs of structural steel components

• Accurately interpret construction drawings and specifications

• Understand and apply labor standards relevant to structural steel work

• Review and evaluate vendor and subcontractor quotes for scope accuracy and compliance

• Generate clear, detailed estimate summaries, including specialized items for buyout

• Provide mentorship and support to Estimators in Training, contributing to their professional development

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in structural steel estimating or a similar role

• Strong knowledge of steel fabrication, erection methods, and construction processes

• Proficient in estimation software and manual takeoff methods

• Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills

• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and mentor junior staff
  
   

Pay Range: $60,000 - $80,000
