We are seeking a Surface Plate Calibration Technician to join our Field Services team. This position is responsible for performing on-site calibration and lapping of surface plates for customers across Southern Virginia, North Carolina, and South Carolina.

Responsibilities:

• Perform calibration and lapping of granite surface plates to meet industry standards.
• Use precision instruments to measure flatness and ensure compliance.
• Travel to customer sites within the assigned territory to provide on-site service.
• Maintain detailed documentation of calibrations and service reports.
• Provide exceptional customer service and technical support.
• Ensure compliance with ISO and company standards.

Requirements

• Experience in surface plate calibration and lapping is required.
• Strong understanding of metrology principles and measurement techniques.
• Ability to travel extensively within the assigned region.
• Self-motivated, with excellent problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• A valid driver’s license and the ability to lift and maneuver heavy equipment.
