University Security Officer

The Security Officer position helps maintain a safe and secure environment for our clients by actively monitoring the premises, including patrolling a variety of locations. They preserve order while enforcing regulations and directives for a client site pertaining to personnel, visitors, and the area. Frequently our Security Officers will provide customer service and information to a client's employees and customers.

  • University Security Officer - Access Control & Patrol
  • Pay: $18.75 per hour
  • Shifts Available: Sun, Mon and Tue 11pm to 7am
  • Seeking a security officer who is willing to check identification cards, secure entrances, monitor cameras, maintain logbook entries and report any issues to the shift supervisor.
  • University Patrol officers are expected to be able to stand for prolonged periods, walk long distances outdoors (6-8 miles each shift), be comfortable with incident report writing, bike patrol, be comfortable with driving SUVs on site, respond to calls and interact with the campus community.
  • Qualifications: •Active Connecticut State Guard Card •Active Connecticut State Driver's License - Reliable transportation & Clean Motor Vehicle History •High School Diploma or GED •2 years of Security Experience REQUIRED- Military/ Law Enforcement experience may substitute •Calm, polite, and professional demeanor. •Reliable and self-motivated. •High level customer service
