Job Title: X-Ray Technician Contract
Location: New York, NY
Compensation: $45–$75 per hour (commensurate with experience)
Job Summary: A leading healthcare provider in New York is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented X-Ray Technologist for a contract position . The successful candidate will perform diagnostic radiologic procedures while ensuring patient comfort, safety, and compliance with all regulatory standards. This role plays a vital part in supporting clinical teams by delivering high-quality imaging services in a fast-paced, patient-centered environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Build rapport with patients to minimize anxiety and clearly explain procedures.
Prepare and position patients for radiologic exams using proper technique and equipment.
Operate imaging equipment while adhering to radiation protection protocols.
Maintain strict infection control procedures and a clean, safe work environment.
Review images to ensure diagnostic quality and adjust techniques as needed.
Document all procedures and interactions in medical records accurately.
Perform regular equipment checks, coordinate maintenance, and manage radiology supplies.
Stay up to date with continuing education and professional development requirements.
Participate in departmental goals and support team initiatives.
Complete annual Age-Specific Competency training.
Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications: Graduate of an AMA-accredited School of Radiologic Technology
Licensure & Certification:
Licensed Radiologic Technologist (L.R.T.) in New York State
Certified by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
Skills & Competencies:
0–2 years of experience in diagnostic imaging
Proficient in performing radiologic procedures with attention to detail
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Team-oriented, dependable, and highly professional
Strong organizational skills and commitment to safety and quality
